➡️ Description and Intended Use
The KRX expansion bolt consists of a polypropylene sleeve and a countersunk head screw made of steel, coated with a protective layer of zinc. It is designed for the installation of lightweight interior finishes, metallic elements, and light installation components or mounting brackets in solid construction substrates. The special design of the spacer bands ensures that the peg is firmly wedged in the hole and prevents the sleeve from turning during screw driving. The inner part of the tee is equipped with guide bands along its entire length, ensuring safe guiding of the screw during installation.
➡️ Features and Benefits
The PZ recess allows the screw to be inserted with a wide range of available tools.
Special plastic tabs stabilize the sleeve in the hole, preventing it from turning during installation.
The special design of the spacer bands firmly wedges the peg and prevents it from turning once the screw is partially inserted.
The enlarged flange prevents the sleeve from sinking too deeply into the hole.
The guide bands inside the sleeve ensure central guiding of the screw.
Galvanized, optimal protection against corrosion for indoor applications.
➡️ Application
Fixing of wooden interior fittings.
Fixing of skirting boards.
Fixing of household equipment.
Fixing of cable trays.
Fixing of cable bundles.
➡️ Mounting Procedure
Before installation, it is necessary to identify the substrate. Before installation, it is necessary to identify the substrate in which the peg is to be installed and to compare the load that the peg will bear with the load capacity indicated in the safety data sheet or in the national technical assessment. The drill diameter must be suitable for the wall material (the thickness of the secured element corresponds to the maximum usable length of the peg - tfix).
Use the correct drilling method depending on the type of substrate (holes in cellular concrete masonry must be drilled with a hammerless drill).
The diameter of the drilled holes must be suitable for the diameter of the pegs used. Holes in solid materials must be cleaned of burrs with a low-speed drill.
The peg is inserted into the drilled hole, and the screw is driven through the fixed element until it is completely sunk into the sleeve (pre-assembly).
➡️ Certificate
KRX wall pegs benefit from a national technical assessment: ITB-KOT-2018/0528 edition 2.
The pegs we offer are of the highest quality and can be used with confidence in the construction sector. We make every effort to ensure that the products supplied to our customers are safe and suitable for specific tasks.
