➡️ Description and Intended Use

The KRX expansion bolt consists of a polypropylene sleeve and a countersunk head screw made of steel coated with a protective layer of zinc. It is designed for the installation of lightweight interior finishes, metal elements, and lightweight installation elements or mounting brackets in solid construction substrates. The special design of the spacing bands ensures that the plug is firmly braced in the hole and prevents the sleeve from turning during screwing. The inner part of the T is equipped with guiding bands along its entire length, ensuring safe guidance of the screw during installation.

➡️ Mounting Procedure

Before installation, it is necessary to identify the substrate.

Before installation, it is necessary to identify the substrate in which the plug is to be installed and compare the load that the plug will support with the load capacity indicated in the safety data sheet or the national technical assessment. The drilling diameter must be suitable for the wall material (the thickness of the fixed element corresponds to the maximum usable length of the plug - Tfix).

Use the correct drilling method depending on the type of substrate (holes in cellular concrete masonry should be drilled with a non-hammer drill).

The diameter of the drilled holes must be adapted to the diameter of the plugs used. Holes in solid materials must be cleaned of burrs with a low-speed drill.

The plug is inserted into the drilled hole, and the screw is pushed through the fixed element until it is completely sunk into the sleeve (pre-mounting).
