➡️ Description and Intended Use
The BKR peg consists of a polypropylene sleeve and a countersunk head screw made of steel coated with a protective layer of zinc. It is designed for the installation of light interior finishes, metal elements, and light installation elements or mounting brackets in solid construction substrates. The special design of the spacer bands ensures that the peg is firmly anchored in the hole and prevents the sleeve from turning during screwing. The inner part of the tee features guiding strips over its entire length, ensuring safe guiding of the screw during installation.
➡️ Features and Benefits
The PZ groove allows the screw to be inserted with a wide range of available tools. Special plastic tabs stabilize the sleeve in the hole and prevent it from turning during installation. The special design of the spacer bands firmly anchors the peg and prevents it from turning once the screw is partially inserted. The enlarged collar prevents the sleeve from sinking too deeply into the hole. The guiding strips inside the sleeve ensure central guiding of the screw. Galvanized for optimal corrosion protection for indoor applications.
➡️ Applications
Installation of interior wooden elements. Fixing of skirting boards. Fixing of home accessories. Fixing of cable trays. Fixing of cable bundles.
➡️ Installation Procedure
Before installation, the substrate must be identified. Before installation, it is necessary to recognize the substrate in which the peg is to be installed and to compare the load that the peg will support with the load capacity indicated on the safety data sheet or in the national technical assessment. The drilling diameter must be suitable for the wall material (the thickness of the fixed element corresponds to the maximum usable length of the peg - tfix). Use the correct drilling method depending on the type of substrate (holes in aerated concrete masonry must be drilled using a non-hammer drill). The diameter of the drilled holes must be adapted to the diameter of the pegs used. Holes in solid materials must be cleaned from drillings using a low-speed drill. The peg is inserted into the drilled hole, and the screw is driven through the fixed element until it is fully recessed in the sleeve (pre-assembly).
➡️ Certification
KRX expansion pegs have undergone national technical assessment: ITB-KOT-2018/0528 edition 2. The pegs we offer are of the highest quality and can be used without issue in the construction sector. We strive to ensure that the products supplied to our contractors are safe and suitable for specific tasks. Other sizes and types of pegs and all types of screws are available at other auctions.
