Round dies can process, correct or clean external threads and are used for processing ordinary threads made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy, cast iron, copper, iron, aluminum and plastic. Tapered locking hole, high locking force, no loosening. Suitable for re-tapping existing threads in hard materials such as metal and creating new threads in soft materials such as plastic. The surface is lubricated with grease to prevent rust, the thread is clear. The round die is used with a die holder (also called die handle or die wrench). Appropriate lubricating oil should be added to the die cutting edge when tapping the thread. The end of the bar should be chamfered at 1*45 degree, and the chamfer should not be too large. The diameter of the bar should be smaller (about 0.05mm-0.15mm) than the nominal diameter of the required thread. Excessive diameter can lead to difficult cutting and damage to the die teeth.
