Round butyl cord is made of synthetic composite rubber which has the characteristics of not drying, not hardening, extremely high working temperature, durable viscosity, elasticity, sealing, leakage protection, rust protection. The length of the butyl sealing cord is about 4m and the thickness is about 8mm. The round butyl cord is long enough and can be easily cut as needed, making it very suitable for sealing all parts. Self adhesive butyl thread is easy to lay and maintain, just peel off the protective paper from the thread and press it firmly on the seam. The welding point must be dry, clean, free of dust, oil and grease. The ideal installation temperature is about 10°C. If the temperature is too low, the strip becomes hard, and the molding time may be a little longer. Butyl sealing tape withstands temperatures from -20 ℃ to 100 ℃, remains sticky and flexible to -20 ℃, does not melt to 100 ℃. It adheres well to most materials and can be used on metal, concrete, glass, plastic, fiberglass, wood and other surfaces to effectively block leakage of wind, water, dust, oil, grease, steam, corrosive chemicals, etc. Waterproof repair is frequently used to glue and seal headlight glasses, vehicle tail lights, doors and windows, windshields, RVs, boats, pipes, gaskets, roofs, well covers and panels.
