Visiter la boutique PANASONICPANASONIC est un conglomérat japonais basé à Osaka. Son ancien nom était Matsushita Electric Industrial Co, du nom de son fondateur.
Konosuke Matsushita a commencé dès l’âge de 10 ans à travailler comme vendeur. Fasciné par la révolution électrique, il rejoint l’Osaka Electric Light où il conçoit une nouvelle génération de douille d’ampoule. Face au scepticisme de ses employeurs, il décide de fonder sa propre entreprise pour commercialiser son invention, qu’il installe dans son appartement. A force de persévérance, il finit par devenir le fournisseur de plaques isolantes et de douilles de tous les fabricants électriques japonais.
En 1918, profitant de la croissance économique au Japon, il fonde la Matsushita Electric Industrial Co, première entreprise du groupe. Il prit à nouveau un grand risque avec des lampes de vélo à batteries, en décidant de laisser les clients acheter les lampes seulement s’ils étaient satisfaits ; ce fut un pari gagnant. Dans les années 1930, jamais à court d’idées, il connut un grand succès avec les lampes National. Puis Panasonic se mit à fabriquer de l’électroménager et des produits de plus en plus complexes, des climatiseurs, des pompes à chaleur, des chargeurs et des batteries à côté de ses célèbres téléviseurs et lecteurs CD.
Panasonic prit son nom définitif en 2003.
