Food-grade activated carbon effectively reduces tap water hardness and removes impurities that affect the taste and aroma of coffee. ☕Important Water Filter: The Molifal water filter for De'Longhi coffee machines features finer perforations to minimize particulate release and remove contaminants and heavy metals such as lead, chlorine, copper, scale, and other impurities from the water. Essential minerals and trace elements are retained in the water, thus improving the taste of the coffee. ☕ Water Filter Protection: This water filter for De'Longhi coffee machines reduces limescale buildup, thereby improving the machine's performance. Keep pipes clean and extend the life of your coffee machine. ☕ Reply: Before use, immerse the filter cartridge in clean tap water for 5 to 10 minutes to rinse and remove air bubbles. Note: Black residue after rinsing is normal; this is a normal reaction of the activated carbon. Please rinse thoroughly for initial filtration before use. For optimal taste, it is recommended to replace the filter cartridge every 2 months depending on water quality.
