Ideal mounting method with advantages.
The pumps for which this cover is suitable are bulky shaped and difficult to attach. This housing completely encloses and insulates the pump and protects it from the worst conditions when mounted under your vehicle, and provides a certain sound insulation when mounted in a more sheltered area. It has a simple attachment point with a screw and a flat mounting surface that makes installation much easier, and the plastic is a few millimetres thick to provide protection and insulation. The openings for inlet, outlet and wiring are tight and may need to be opened slightly to meet certain requirements, but ensure a good seal. The sound insulation is very good, my car is loud as a hood and I do not sleep in it. Finished installation looks so much better than a worm drive clamp with a corroded pump, visible pipe connections and exposed cable connections.
