The feather boards are made from a high-tech polymer and each has 13 angled fingers that apply constant pressure to produce sharper cuts with less risk of bouncing, grazing or lifting. The feather boards slide into the miter gauge slots of the router table or guide and are locked in place by tightening a pair of buttons. When properly installed, the flexible fingers hold the workpiece firmly pressed against the top of the router table or router guide throughout the routing operation. Note that it can also be used on a table saw, router, band saw or any other woodworking machine with a miter guide slot.
